Our Hair-preneur of the week is Nigerian born Thelma Okoro, CEO of Onyc Hair, a brand that is popular with Celebrity Hair stylist like Kimberly Kimble, and recording artist Azelia Banks.

Based out of the Washington DC/VA area, this multi-faceted nigerian beauty (she’s trained in aesthetics, hair styling and makeup artistry) started out as a salon owner and carved a niche for herself in the competitive Hair and Beauty industry. Her passion for hair and beauty, led to her creating Youtube videos that gathered beauty lovers from all over the world to her page.

Known for her signature curls, Ms. Okoro states that her decision to start her business came from an intuition as opposed to a dream, “I am a leader who focuses on uplifting and empowering all women. I grew up in Nigeria before migrating to USA. Tired of the monopoly in the hair industry, I started an International Hair Extensions and accessories company (www.onychair.com)”. ONYC hair imports its products from Brazil, India, Mongolia and China, and is the most lustrous, 100% Pure Cuticle, Virgin and Remy hair

  1. Women those who think of they don’t have a good looking hair can definitely go for hair extensions and weaving. They will give a stylish look to the hair and also depending upon the type of hair selected will give a different appearance to the overall look. Human, Virgin and Synthetic hairs are available in the market for hair extensions or weaving.
